Custom built skylights sounds expensive right?
Custom made skylights are more expensive than off the shelf products. This is mainly due to the resources, attention to detail and time required to fabricate which makes them such an excellent product. On the other hand they represent better value for money than off the shelf products and they come with an industry leading lifetime warranty for domestic purchases only. Customers now have the opportunity to order a custom made skylight over the internet or by telephone.
However, the responsibility lies with you to ensure you quote the correct measurements of the flashing. Our preferred method of receiving your instructions is via e-mail / fax. To enable ensure the accuracy of the product, we require the following:- sectional drawing details not so much plan views unless a plan view highlights a problem in which case send both please. emailed photos may be of assistance if you are unsure of what you are seeing or don’t know how to describe what it is that you want. We will proceed with a written estimate, which will include:- a time-frame for fabrication payment details for deposit. Once our office receives written confirmation with a deposit the order will be processed.
Please note:- part of our terms and conditions for custom made skylights consist of no credit returns once fabrication has commenced, and a loss of deposit / restocking fee will apply. We offer a site inspection service, whereby we visit customers’ premises. This service includes:- assessing the serviceability of the existing skylight; Supply information on ways of repairing or replacing the product; and Quoting on new or replacement skylight. There is a cost for supplying this level of service, and feedback from our customers highly recommend this service. It goes without saying that we take a great deal of pride when manufacturing your skylight; hence it will always comes with a life time warranty on the product and a life time warranty on the installation providing it is installed by our fitters.
